Attack On Titan Season 4 Final Episode: What's To Come This Fall

After almost 13 years of production for the series Attack On Titan, the anime is finally ending. Setback a few years and it was announced that a final season was coming. Beknown to fans, this would span several years through 4 parts. Although this may be a tiresome wait for some, the quality each episode provides is excellent. And with the announcement of the FINAL part of Season 4, fans are both delighted and dejected to see an end to one of the most popular animes out there. Plot Refresh

Following Season 4, fans have seen the tragic effects of the war between Marley and Paradis. With the introduction of a new whole outside of Paradis, Season 4 has pushed further than the series has ever done before. The main theme is revenge. The idea is that people are brought to do things others may decide ruthlessly for the better of their people. Additionally, Eren is one such person who is crushed by the weight of his power and stance in the new world. And so, This torment escalates into the titan form we see him in mid-way through Season 4.

In Season 4 part 3, the first of two 1 hour long specials, we see the Paradis gang partner up with forces in Marley to ease a common threat. Furthermore, Eren has become a monstrous being, an entity brimming with Erens idea of extermination. And so, the fact that the two sides have partnered up to free Eren from his so-called “Freedom”, exemplifies the extremes war can come to.

At the end of Part 3, we see the main group of characters we’ve followed for 13 years. An intense scene sees the characters dive down dodging ribcage and materialise titans alike. In the final action scene, we see Armin lead the charge towards Eren. Additionally, in the final moments, we see Armin in the foreground, a representation of him being the newly appointed Commander and foreshadowing his stronger resolve for Part 4.

What We Know

The Attack On Titan Season 4 Final Episode will follow the same format as Part 3. It will be an approximate hour-long special to end the series out. The special is set to be released in the Fall of 2023, however, an exact date is up in the air. It’s best to remember, this released window could be pushed back in 2024 if needed.

Due to the fact that the Anime directly adapts the manga, understanding why part 4 is an hour-long is easier. There are only five manga chapters left to adapt. This may cause some concern as it might feel dragged out with unnecessary filler. However, the lack of cutting content from mangas may leave quality that other animes are forced to leave behind.

Attack On Titan Season 4 Final Episode Expectations

As it left off in the first special, we see the main cohort on the back of Eren’s titan ready for a final showdown. Mikasa’s and Eren’s rocky relationship will; be put to the test in order to stop Eren’s rampage. Armin’s role as a leader will shape the decisions the group make in order to stop Eren. Aswell players like Zeke, Falco and Annime will play major roles in the last special, especially Falco with the realisation his Titan can fly.

Although these plot points will not be fleshed out until the final release, it’s hard not to get excited about the end of a 13-year production.
